Paying it Forward on the Roads
“Paying it forward,” as it has come to be known, is a great way to act not only in life, but also when you’re operating a motor vehicle. The concept is simple: Do good acts for other people when a good act is done for you, or simply do a good act in the hope that another person will follow your example. When you are driving your car this concept can be utilized by giving some the right of way, letting someone back out of a parking space, or letting someone merge into traffic. Everyone from small cars to large auto shipping trucks can benefit from courtesy on the roadways. If we do our best to impart a good image and good character while we drive, we might hopefully expect others to reciprocate if not directly to us than to another person at a later time. This is the best way to drive.
